This week will mark another first for Lorenzen Customs, our first public art show! On Monday, November 1, Goat Patch Brewing Company (2727 N Cascade Ave #123, Colorado Springs, CO 80907) will begin displaying thirteen of my pieces and they will be one their walls until the end of the month.
I have always wanted to share my art with others. As a kid, I was always excited when there was an open house at school and my art was hanging in the hallways. As an adult, I have always displayed art in my home, and I love it when friends and family comment on my work. The greatest glory I have ever had was when my grandpa Lorenzen framed two of my watercolors and had them hanging in his bedroom! This show is a high point for me and a huge honor and I’m hoping it will also be a boom for Lorenzen Customs.
I wish I could be there everyday to watch the patrons’ responses to what they see. I can’t do that, but I will be hosting an open house/meet the artist night on Monday, 11/8, from 5 – 9 pm at the brewery. If you live in the area, I would love to see you; come on down and have a beer, check out my art in person, and say “hello”. I’m so excited for this show and I can’t wait to meet everyone!
